About This Protocol

Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) — the endogenous peptide that signals the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone. Unlike direct growth hormone administration, sermorelin stimulates the body's own pituitary production, maintaining the natural pulsatile release pattern and feedback mechanisms.

Available through licensed TeleWellnessMD® providers across most states (51 states/territories for the 20mg vial). Physician determines dosing protocol and administration schedule.

GHRH Mechanism
Sermorelin binds to the GHRH receptor on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary, stimulating synthesis and secretion of growth hormone. This preserves the natural negative feedback loop — as GH and IGF-1 levels rise, they inhibit further GH release, preventing the sustained supraphysiological levels associated with direct GH administration.
Growth Hormone Pulsatility
Growth hormone is naturally secreted in pulses — primarily during deep sleep and after exercise. Direct GH administration disrupts this pulsatile pattern. GHRH analogs like sermorelin work with the pituitary's natural rhythm, supporting physiological pulsatile release.
IGF-1 Downstream
Growth hormone stimulates the liver to produce IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1), which mediates many of GH's anabolic effects on muscle, bone, and connective tissue. Sermorelin protocols are monitored by tracking IGF-1 levels.
Wide State Availability
The 20mg vial is available in 51 states and territories — broader than most peptide protocols. Your physician will confirm availability in your specific location.
