About This Protocol

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. Injectable NAD+ provides direct systemic delivery, bypassing the conversion pathway required by oral NAD+ precursors such as NMN or NR. This lyophilized compounded formulation requires reconstitution before injection.

This physician-supervised protocol is available through licensed TeleWellnessMD® providers. The physician determines dosing and administration schedule based on individual assessment.

Role in Cellular Energy
NAD+ is the electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, required for ATP synthesis. It is also the substrate for sirtuins — proteins studied for their roles in DNA repair, gene expression, and cellular stress response.
Age-Related Decline
Research published in Cell (2013) demonstrated that NAD+ levels decline with age in multiple tissues. This decline is associated with reduced mitochondrial function and impaired sirtuin activity.
Injectable vs Oral
Injectable NAD+ delivers the active coenzyme directly into circulation, bypassing GI absorption and the enzymatic conversion pathway required by oral precursors. Some physicians prefer injectable delivery for patients who do not respond to oral forms.
Physician Protocol
Administration schedule, dose, and frequency are determined entirely by the physician based on individual patient evaluation. Standard protocols vary widely and are individualized.
